If you have the self control to not eat all the freshly picked Farmhouse Fruit Blueberries, you are going to need to know how to freeze them properly.
The best way to freeze blueberries is to first find a tray or plate (which the blueberries can sit on in a single layer) that will fit flat in your freezer. There is no need to rinse the blueberries before you freeze them, though I would recommend rinsing them prior to use. If you chose to rinse them prior to freezing, ensure the berries are completely dry before freezing.
Place the blueberries in a single layer on the plate or tray and place in the freezer overnight. When you wake up in the morning you will have individually frozen blueberries which will go great in smoothies and yogurt. You can store them for up to 10-12 months in an airtight container/bag in your freezer.
Thaw frozen blueberries by placing them in a bowl at room temperature for an hour.
Remember to rinse your blueberries right before you are going to use them, never rinse and store berries in the refrigerator as the moisture will shorten the shelf-life.
